Here is a 5 foot x 9 foot (APPROX SIZE) wool 48 star flag from the USA with metal grommets. The 48 star flag was in use from 1912 to 1959. There are no rips or holes that I could see and only light fading or some light yellowing. The stars are stitched, and apparently this size flag was used quite often for caskets.
